Hi Rebecca, really it just takes some planning. If you plan out your meals in advance for the week, you should know exactly what you need. We buy for a family of 5, and besides some breads and the last of the fruits/veggies, rarely will something go bad in a week’s time.

Hi Rebecca, first of all, I would recommend investing in a good set of glass containers for your refrigerator. Prepping your food in advance and storing it in these containers will help you a) be more likely to eat your food because it’s ready and easy to grab and b) will help preserve the freshness. Second, in my house I cook everything in bulk so that there are leftovers to freeze and reheat either that week or the following week. For me and my family, it’s easiest to eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch everyday for a week, keep a variety of healthy snacks in the house, and then have a diverse dinner each night. If you want to see how I plan out our meals, check out the 4 week mealplan here: http://www.coachcalorie.com/healthy-weight-loss-meal-plan/
    Hope that helps!
